About Me

Introducing: Molly

As an aspiring interior designer/architect, my first inspiration was, in fact, LEGO. Since my earliest memory of the toy, I thrived in the ability to build and rebuild – over and over. This was always my favourite thing to do as a child, enjoying the ability to create and construct whatever my mind wanted to.

Since this early period of my life, I have utilised and developed skills on software such as Home Design 3D, SketchUp and Lumion to allow my imagination to flourish throughout my life. At a younger age, I fell in love with architecture, understanding and discovering how structure could become so simplistic, but also so complex in its aesthetics and engineering.

As I’ve grown older, I realise that my love and passion for interior design/architecture nestles within that outer passion, not just to build externally, but design and furnish a space internally. As my mother also has a passion for furnishing interiors, I have recognised her taste and choice of texture, materials, and colour contrasts to create beautiful spaces within our home. I have helped her with family home projects, thriving in the making. Once I realised I could pursue this as a career through a university degree, my decision has not once redirected. The feeling of walking into a home furnishings store and feeling like a child in a candy shop is one of my favourite feelings personally. Experimenting with cushions, plants, vases, blankets, lighting, and even scent allows my mind to engage fully with its elements. That is what interior design/architecture means to me.

Please take a look at my past projects throughout GCSE, Work Experience, and the most recent projects of my A-Level course.

My other interests

I have a strong and varied range of interests, particularly in sport and travel. One of my main passions is motorsport, with a particular focus on Formula 1. I enjoy following the sport not only for the competition itself, but also for the engineering, strategy, and innovation that underpin it. Formula 1’s global nature has also sparked my interest in different cultures and international environments. In addition, I enjoy watching rugby, a sport that has strengthened my appreciation for teamwork, discipline, and resilience, as well as the importance of communication and collective effort in achieving success.

Alongside my interest in sport, I am passionate about travelling and exploring new places. I particularly enjoy city breaks, where I can immerse myself in different cultures, architecture, and ways of life, as well as relaxing holidays that allow me to unwind and reflect. Travelling has helped me become more adaptable, open-minded, and appreciative of new experiences and qualities that I believe are important both academically and personally.
